
ABOUT
Justin S. Lee is a Taiwanese American writer/director/producer who is currently the Co-Creator/Co-EP of the upcoming independent television series Recap (K Period), starring Corey Stoll and Julia Stiles, directed by Richard Shepard, and showrun by Adam Glass and Andrew Dabb.
He grew up bouncing between Philadelphia and Taipei, experimenting in many different storytelling mediums before finding his passion for film and television. He made movies on the side while studying business at UC Berkeley, and spent a year between schools working in the film industry before enrolling at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. During his training there, ​his short film Drone was nominated for a Student Academy Award, and he co-directed the feature film Actors Anonymous, starring James Franco.
He's also an alum of Paramount Television's Emerging Directors Program, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's content accelerator Imagine Impact, Film Independent's Episodic Lab, where he was awarded an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation development grant, and Dan Lin's Rideback Rise Fellowship.
Previously, he wrote on Resident Evil (Netflix), director shadowed on Home Before Dark (Apple TV), and is now packaging his feature film directorial debut with Daniel Dae Kim's production company 3AD, Jess Maldaner, and Brian Yang attached to produce.
